Need a long-term optical storage solution? Well, the good folks over at Sony and Panasonic have just the thing for you, today announcing the Archival Disk format. The new Archival Disc format that will store between 300GB and 1TB per disc at launch while promising "inter-generational compatibility" between different formats as the standard matures, but we've heard that schtick before... (*cough*Jaz Drives *cough*). Expect to see the first 300GB hitting shelves Summer 2015. Upgrades will follow, targeting a whopping 1TB of space per disc.
