With all the emphasis on CG, it’s nice to see stop-motion isn’t dead. I never saw Caroline – and this is from the same people – so maybe I shouldn’t get hype over Paranorman…although this movie is hitting all the right notes with me. It has amazing art direction, a campy storyline and, best of all, it’s a Halloween(ish) movie just in time for fall. Hype.

I’ve been looking forward to this since the teaser debuted, like, three years ago. It’s ridiculous premise and inspired look had me at “Guten Tag!”.

Seriously…read the summary – it’s too ridiculous too ignore.

Towards the end of World War II the Nazi scientists made a significant breakthrough in anti-gravity. From a secret base built in the Antarctic, the first Nazi spaceships were launched in late ‘45 to found the military base Schwarze Sonne (Black Sun) on the dark side of the Moon. This base was to build a powerful invasion fleet and return to take over the Earth once the time was right.

Now it’s 2018, and it’s the time for the first American Moon landing since the 70′s. Meanwhile the Nazi invasion, that has been over 70 years in the making, is on its way, and the world is goose-stepping towards its doom.

How does that not sound awesome?! Iron Sky will finally debut at the Berlin International Film Festival on February 11th. Better late than never…like those Moon Nazis!

What SOPA means for artists (Click for full image)

Ever wanted to live in a world without an entertaining internet? Well, Congress apparently does and as we speak (read?), SOPA/PIPA bills are poised to make the trek around Washington in an effort to stop online piracy, effectively killing any site that shares “unauthorized” content. Sites like Reddit, Facebook and Twitter *gasp!* would all but disappear should this bill be allowed to pass. What can you do? Go here and fill out the quick form. It’ll send a pre-written letter (but add your own comments if you’d like!) to your congressman and let him/her know that you are not okay with this shit.
